What is a Top-Mounted Power Supply?
A top-mounted power supply (TPS) is a type of computer chassis design where the power supply unit (PSU) is located at the top of the case. It is the traditional style of PC build that was popular in the early days of computer hardware. Nowadays, many modern cases are equipped with a bottom or rear-mounted PSU, which offers better cooling and easier cable management. However, some enthusiasts still prefer top-mounted PSU design for its unique benefits.
The Pros and Cons of Top-Mounted Power Supplies

Ultimately, the decision to choose a top-mounted PSU or not depends on your specific needs and preferences. If you value a clean and minimalist look, a TPS build can be an excellent choice.
